June of this year is the 22nd "Safety Production Month" in China and the 50th "June 5th Environmental Day" in the world. In response to the call for national safety production month and environmental day activities, the A line production department enhances employees' safety and environmental awareness through a series of safety and environmental protection activities, and prevents the occurrence of various types of HSE accidents.
On June 7th, the production department of Line A planned to produce safety propaganda slogans, which were posted inside and outside the workshop, invisibly adding to the atmosphere of the event, aiming to promote the concept of safety production to all employees. The content of "Everyone in charge of safety production and prevention of accident hazards everywhere" is simple and easy to understand, but the words are precious and the meaning is profound. It can be said to be simple but not simple. It not only reflects the management concept of all department members participating, but also reflects the core idea of prevention as the main focus of national safety policies and objectives.
On June 9th, each team on the production line used morning meetings to vigorously promote the theme of the safety month activity, which was "everyone speaks safety, everyone is emergency, and there are no hidden dangers everywhere". Employees were retrained on the company's safety production management system, emphasizing the "Eleven No Hanging" and "Twelve Prohibitions", standardizing behavior, unifying thinking, and steadfastly carrying out safety work to the end to prevent the recurrence of accidents.
On the same day, the production department of Line A launched a download of the "Chain Work Treasure" app for online quizzes based on the "2023 Safety Month Knowledge Competition Operation Guide". Through quizzes, they consolidated their safety knowledge and enhanced their safety awareness. According to statistics, the participation rate of all employees exceeded 95%.
On June 13th, the A line production department organized a meeting for leaders above the supervisory level to launch a major hazard investigation. Mr. Liu and Mr. Tao from the management department, Mr. Zhang Jun from the A line production department, Mr. Huang Yifeng from the quality control department, and Mr. Cheng Minghua from the safety department participated in the meeting. This major investigation will take the "Safety Production Month" as an opportunity to focus on the theme of "everyone emphasizes safety, everyone will respond to emergencies, and there are no hidden dangers everywhere", and focus on implementing the "Five Leading" work requirements. This safety hazard investigation involves a total of 8 major items, including lifting and transportation, high-altitude operations, box pulling operations, involved injuries, safe electricity use, fire safety, 3S, and warning slogans, which will be carried out in stages during the safety month. Mr. Tao stated that identifying hidden dangers is an important aspect of our safety management. If there are fewer hidden dangers, there will be more safety. Mr. Liu emphasized that management cadres at all levels should firmly establish a sense of safety production, effectively implement safety management work, and create a safe and comfortable working environment for employees.
Subsequently, General Manager Liu and General Manager Tao of the Management Department implemented the "Five Leaders" requirement and personally led a team to conduct hidden danger inspections for lifting and high-altitude operations in the A-line workshop and test bench. By checking whether the on-site safety ledger is complete, whether safety lifting equipment is subject to daily inspections, whether there are hidden dangers of equipment failure, and whether the lifting route is clear, a total of 11 safety hazards were identified, and corresponding responsible departments and rectification dates were specified.
The implementation of the "Safety Month" activity has deepened the understanding of safety production among all employees. Safety management has a heavy responsibility and a long way to go. It is better to be tight for a thousand days than to be loose for a day. We must always put safety first, always tighten the string of safety production, do enough safety prevention work, and create a safe and comfortable working environment for employees. The production department of Line A will continue to implement the requirements of the General Manager's policy of "preventing major risks" and continue to carry out various safety management work.
